New details have emerged!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been high flying since it was released, and with fans sinking their teeth into this years content, we already know what's coming next.

While Infinity Ward won't be developing a brand new COD, they're going to be releasing a paid DLC alongside Sledgehammer Games.

Here's what we know!

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 To Release 'Premium' Expansion In 2023

For those who aren't aware, the plan for MW2 has always been for it to be the main COD game for the next two years, or until Treyarch releases their new project in 2024.

While this is still the same plan, we now sorta know what kind of content we're going to be getting next year, and this is thanks to Jason Schreier.

Schreier has noted the following in regards to COD 2023.

"Let me make this super clear:
- The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024
- Next year there will be a Modern Warfare II "premium" (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer
- It's supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that's why they call it a "full" release. But it's more MWII"

So, it appears it'll be sorta to how season passes for DLC worked in the Xbox 360 days of COD!
