Here's what we know!

Rumor: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 To Feature Classic COD Maps

This rumor surfaced online via TheGhostOfHope on Twitter, and they note that a source has informed that ALL MW2 maps will be implemented into the game sometime post-launch.

Should this happen, we'll see the following maps within the game.

  • Afghan
  • Derail
  • Estate
  • Favela
  • Highrise
  • Invasion
  • Karachi
  • Quarry
  • Rundown
  • Rust
  • Scrapyard
  • Skidrow
  • Sub Base
  • Terminal

TheGhostOfHope writes the following:

"Interesting piece of info I heard from a trustworthy source recently…

Infinity Ward are planning to release all/almost all Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps together all at once some time during the post launch of Modern Warfare II (2022). Very likely this could be Year 2 content."

With this being a rumor of course, we cannot verify this information directly, or until Infinity Ward gives the nod it's the truth.

But, with the note that it won't come until post release, we won't hear anything from them until at least the New Year!
