The Rising Sun

Vanguard takes players back to WWII and does it with a library of familiar weapons such as the Type 100.

This Japanese submachine gun was introduced in 1939, at the start of the War. Consequently, it was the only SMG produced by Japan in any quantity. It's been a reliable weapon in past Call of Duty titles and continues to be a solid option in Vanguard thanks to its high accuracy and low recoil.

Here's the best loadout for the Type 100 in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Best Type 100 Class In Vanguard

With a staggering, 10 attachments to equip your weapon with, it's going to be hard to narrow down what to pick.
When choosing your attachments, you'll want to consider what attachments will improve this weapons weak areas and how you tend to play.
The Type 100 is very accurate, has great hip fire and a good rate of fire. However, it lacks a bit of damage to compete with some of the stronger weapons in the game.

Attachemnts

  • Muzzle
    • A5 Smoothbore
  • Barrel
    • Framble 23" No. 4M
  • Optic
    • MK. 8 Reflector
  • Stock
    • CGC 3M Adjustable
  • Underbarrel
    • SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Magazine
    • 12 Gauge 5 Round Tube
  • Ammo Type
    • Incendiary
  • Rear Grip
    • Granular Grip
  • Proficiency
    • Frenzy
  • Kit
    • Quick
This setup is tailored to maximise its damage at distance whilst giving a controllable recoil.
There are a few good Muzzle attachments, but I've gone with the Recoil Booster as it actually doesn't give much recoil and increases the fire rate.
Every Barrel reduces the damage of this wepaon, which isn't ideal, so the only logical choice is the Warubachi 134MM Rapid. Again, it dramatically increases the rate of fire and the effective damage range. While it does massively increase recoil and increase sprint of fire and ADS time, these can be fixed with other attachments.
Your Optic comes down to preference and I don't think subs need an optic in most cases but the Slate Reflector is a nice clean sight.
Our Stock is the Shiraishi Weighted which will make you a bit slower, but lowers recoil.
The Underbarrel choice will further reduce recoil but increase hip fire accuracy. This isn't a big deal as it is already very good.
I'm not a fan of the Magazine choices for the Type 100 - while they can increase lethality, you do lose a lot of mobility and control.
Lengthened is the best Ammo Type choice giving you more Bullet Velocity at range.
The Polymer Grip Rear Grip is the best choice, reducing recoil further while also giving 40% added flinch resistance
Gung Ho is the best Proficiency in my eyes because this weapon is very powerful in close range fights and being able to fire while sprinting negates a lot of needs to ready up quickly.
The Quick Kit should help improve Sprint Speed to negate any of the movement speed you've lost.

Secondary

I would go with the machine pistol if you're not using Overkill or a Sniper Rifle to make up for long range.

Lethal & Tactical

  • MK2 Fragmentation Grenade
  • Stim

The Frag grenade is an all-round good lethal grenade to have and can save you a number of situations. The Stim is very good for a run and gunner, especially when paired with Gung-Ho.

Perks

  • Ghost
  • Forward Intel
  • Double Time

Ghost will keep you off the enemy radar and Forward Intel gives you the information you need on where your opponents are spawning. Double Time helps you sprint for longer and will go well with Gung-Ho.

Field Upgrade

  • Dead Silence

Running around is good, but it can be noisy. Having Dead Silence when trying to flank is perfect to pair with this setup!
