Fortnite has been undergoing one of its best periods in recent memory, as with the new map releasing, theres a ton of content for players to check out.

Once again within the new Chapter, there's some mechanics such as movement that are going to be vital to master within the game.

However, for Epic to implement all these additions within the game, downtime is going to have to occur.

Here's how long downtime is for Fortnite and when the servers will be back up.

How Long Is Downtime and When Will Servers Be Back Up

Downtime is an essential part of the game, as this is when Epic allocates their resources to the game, and implements all the new patch content for us to check out.

Typically, downtime will commence somewhere between 2:00-4:00 am EST and will last about an hour or so.

On the other hand, while downtime only takes an hour or so, the servers may take a bit longer to be back up, just simply due to Epic trying to fine tune everything.
