Coins are the in-game currency within Overwatch, and these can be used for various things, such as purchasing the battle pass, in-game skins, emotes and more.
So, it's worth knowing if there's any way to snag som free ones while you're playing, as you could end up with some crazy skins!
In fact, within Overwatch 2, players will be able to earn a small portion of coins each week by completing the weekly allocated challenges, and these could build up over time.
You'll earn 30 Coins for completing 4 challenges, 20 after 8, and 10 for all 11, so it's worth the time if you're just shy of enough for a new skin.
The challenges are listed below.
- Win 10 games
- Win 20 games in Competitive or Unranked (including Quick Play, Mystery Heroes and Deathmatch)
- Win 7 Arcade mode games
- Win 10 games each as 2 different roles (Tank, Damage or Support) in Quick Play or Competitive Play
- Mitigate 40,000 total damage
- Heal 65,000 damage
- Earn 50 eliminations or assists with Ultimates
- Earn 20 team kills
