Splatoon has been Nintendo's premier shooter since the Switch was released back in 2017, and now fans are amped for the third installment within the series.

Splatoon 3: Release Date
Players won't have long to wait in order to dive into Splatoon 3, as it's set to release on September 9th, 2022.
Players will either be able to purchase it at a local retailer, online or via the Nintendo eShop and pre-load it before the game releases.

What Is Splatoon 3?

Even in this desolate environment, Turf War* reigns supreme and battles rage in new stages located in the surrounding wilds. Dynamic new moves help these fighters dodge attacks and cover more ground, along with a new bow-shaped weapon to sling ink.
Join Agent 3 in a fight against the unruly Octarians in story mode. Discover the secrets of Alterna, the Fuzzy Ooze, and how they connect to the mode's theme, "Return of the Mammalians.”
Team up and fend off waves of dangerous Salmonid bosses in the next iteration of Salmon Run*, a co-op mode with fresh new features.
Splatoon 3 Gameplay Features
Since this is Nintendo's flagship shooter, there's a large focus on the weapons within the game, and so far, we've seen ton of new ones for fans to check out.
Some of these include the following.
